Digital Unit Plan Site: Adding Lessons



You'll be creating a total of four lesson activities for your unit and content area. Each will have specific requirements. Here are some common requirements:
  • Each lesson should be organized on a separate page of your Unit Site.
  • Lessons should demonstrate your skill in using a variety of digital tools to support teaching and learning.

Here are specific requirements:
  1. Lesson 1 - Teacher Lecture & Guided Notes
    • This lesson MUST be aligned with the unit you are developing.
    • Presentation format must demonstrate your capacity to use additional digital tools to support teaching and learning.
    • Requirements for this lesson are outlined at Teacher Lecture.
    • This lesson should include a teacher presentation and guided notes.
  2. Lesson 2 - Multimedia Project
    • This lesson MUST be aligned with the unit you are developing.
    • This assignment is outlined in Essentials Module 4, Activities 1, 2, 3.
    • This lesson must require your students to create some kind of multimedia project and a digital product. There are many free multimedia tools on the Web, or you can use PowerPoint or Keynote.
    • You will create the description of the assignment, a sample product created by a fake student in your classroom, and a rubric or scoring guide.
    • There are examples of completed projects on your Titanium EDSC 304 Course Site and also at Intel's Designing Projects.
  3. Lesson 3 - Webercise
    • A Webercise is simply an activity that is completed using information from the Internet. It can be as simple as a worksheet, or as complicated as a group project. Webercises can engage students who like to use the Internet to find information.
    • This assignment should be aligned with the unit you are developing.
    • The assignment is outlined on the PowerPoint presentation attached below.
    • You do NOT have to complete a student sample or an answer sheet.

  4. Lesson 4 - Timeline Project
    • This lesson does NOT have to be aligned with the unit you are developing.
    • Requirements for this lesson are outlined at Timeline Project.
    • This lesson must require your students to create some kind of digital timeline. There are many free tools on the Web, or you can use Excel.
    • You will create the description of the assignment, a sample timeline created by a fake student in your classroom, and a rubric or scoring guide.
    • There are examples of completed projects on your Titanium EDSC 304 Course Site.
